Lanna Haven was founded in 2018 by a group of families who saw the need for senior care that honored the dignity and preferences of older adults while embracing the warmth of Thai culture. We recognized that many elders in northern Thailand wanted an option beyond traditional family care or institutional settingsāa place that felt like home while providing companionship and support.
Our property in Mae Rim was chosen specifically for its peaceful setting, fresh air, and connection to the natural beauty that makes Chiang Mai special. The spacious grounds allow for gardens, shaded pavilions, and quiet corners where residents can find solitude or gather with friends.
Since opening, we have welcomed residents from Thailand and neighboring countries, creating a multicultural community where mutual respect and gentle daily rhythms guide our approach. Our team members are trained in elder companionship and understand that each person brings their own story, preferences, and needs.
We operate with transparency and flexibility, offering month-to-month arrangements rather than demanding long-term contracts. Families appreciate knowing they can adjust care as circumstances change, and residents value being treated as individuals rather than participants in a program.

Director of Residence
Somchai brings fifteen years of experience in elder care and community management. He ensures our residence operates smoothly while maintaining the personal touch that makes Lanna Haven feel like home.
Niran Wattana
Activities Coordinator
Niran designs and leads our daily activities, from Thai Chi classes to craft workshops. Her creativity and gentle encouragement help residents discover new interests and stay engaged.
Apinya Sutthiwan
Family Liaison
Apinya maintains communication with families, coordinates visits, and ensures everyone stays informed about their loved one's well-being. She speaks English, Thai, and basic Mandarin.
